Common questions

How long does porting take?

Typical timeframes range from 5-30 working days depending on your setup. Single lines usually port within 5-10 days, while complex multi-line or DDI setups may take 15-30+ days. We'll give you an exact date once we receive your documentation.

Will there be any downtime?

For standard single-line ports, there's typically no downtime during business hours. Complex multi-line or DDI setups may require out-of-hours cutover where brief downtime is planned. We'll confirm the exact arrangements during your porting consultation.

Can I keep my existing number?

Yes, absolutely! That's the whole point of porting. Whether it's a local geographic number, 0800/0845 number, or DDI range, we can port it to Optua Cloud Voice while keeping your existing number active.

What happens to my old phone service during the port?

We keep your old service active and operational throughout the entire porting process. Once the port is confirmed complete and all testing validates, we'll notify you and coordinate any final switchover. Your old provider won't disconnect the number until we confirm the port is successful.

What if something goes wrong during the port?

Our 24/7 support team monitors the entire porting window. If there are any issues, we validate and troubleshoot immediately. We have fallback plans and can quickly revert to your old service if needed. You're never left without a working phone line.
